And you thought all you could ask me about was books? Wrong! True, books are the way I love a story the best but since we humans, as a species, are addicted to stories and movies are the next best way of storytelling, here were are with some of my favourite movies reviewed only for people like me who just can't resist a good story. Also, if there are movies you want me to review for you, just drop a comment and I will review it as soon as I can. So, sit back, get that pop-corn bowl out and get ready to watch some of the great movies from all around the world!

Rare Exports

Director: Jalmari Helander
Rating: 8/10

19 Days Before Christmas, 2012: A British archaeologist-in-making at University of Oxford tells his colleagues about a Finnish Horror Movie involving digging Santa's grave. (Naturally, archaeologists love digging everything so, that's where the topic came from.)

1 Day Before Christmas, 2012: One of those archaeologists completely forgot about the movie.

4 Days Before Christmas, 2013: The forgetful archaeologist asks out loud for Christmas movie recommendations and guess what she is reminded of?

New Year, 2014: While on a family vacation, three cousins sit down to watch a sinister Christmas tale about a cruel Santa and are bowled over by the sheer Tim Burton-ness of a non-Tim Burton movie!

Why watch an anti-Christmas, Sinister-Claws kind of a movie on Christmas? Because it is different, it keeps you on the edge of your seat and there isn't a dull moment! If you're tired of the usual Christmas things, and want something unusual instead of the usual apple-and-cinnamon kind of movies, here's the perfect movie, which isn't completely horrible either. In fact Rare Exports is unusual in every sense of the word: it isn't your regular horror movie, it isn't your regular Christmas movie, it's just this sheer work of brilliance that only an unusual brain can come up with.
