Director: Stanley Donen
Rating: 8/10
Right when she's contemplating a divorce, Regina Lampert discovers her husband has been murdered for a fortune he had stolen. Suddenly, she is being followed by people who claim to be her husband's partners-in-crime and runs into a mysterious but seductive man, who changes his name every couple of minutes. As she tries to trick her pursuers, she finds herself running around in circles, finding dead searchers and going about in stamp markets only to find out that she had put her faith in the wrong people from the start.
Charade is an amazing mystery, which doesn't really keep you on the edge of your seat but it does keep your head spinning. The best thing about it(apart from the lovely Hepburn and her amazing sense of style) is it shows how vintage movies, older than our parents not only had strong plots but also an amazing way of narrating stories.
Fast paced, intriguing and funny, Charade won't fail you on a night you're ready to watch a good mystery!
